Who we are: Long Island Science Congress is an adjudicated exhibit of science projects by students of Nassau County and Suffolk County middle schools, junior high schools and senior high schools, sponsored by the Long Island Sections of the Science Teachers Association of New York State (STANYS). LISC began in 1950 under the auspices of the New York State Science Teachers Association and The Nassau Daily Review-Star. Since its inception, there have been over 85 committee members consisting of teachers, professors, and doctors. The 2008 LISC Executive Committee would like to welcome and encourage each school to participate during this memorable year. |

Comprised of grades 10 through 12 and those 9th
graders taking their SECOND State science Regents course.
Registration from 7:45 to 8:30 AM. Judging from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Luncheon for
judges.
Junior Division – April 10, 2008. Comprised of grades 7 through 8 and those 9th graders taking their FIRST State science Regents course. Registration from 7:45 to 8:30AM. Judging from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Luncheon for judges.
Junior Division 6:30-8pm and Senior 8:30 - 10:00pm
The application for the Robert Nelson Award
Available
for downloading during the week of March
5, 2008. The mailing deadline is March
16, 2008. Students must have done their work independent of universities and
research institutions.
