Long Island Science Congress is an adjudicated exhibit of science projects by students of Nassau County and Suffolk County middle schools, junior high schools and senior high schools, sponsored by the Long Island Sections of the Science Teachers Association of New York State (STANYS).  LISC began in 1950 under the auspices of  the New York State Science Teachers Association and The Nassau Daily Review-Star.  Since its inception, there have been over 85 committee members consisting of teachers, professors, and doctors.   The 2012 LISC Executive Committee would like to welcome and encourage each school to participate during this memorable year.
